Topic: Vickers' Waterbury 2-Wheel Tractor

Question:

I recently purchased at an auction a Waterbury 2hp, 2 wheel garden tractor. It was made by Waterbury Tool, a division of Vickers Inc. It is a model G, S/N 8145. Waterbury Tool was located in Waterbury, Conn. The tractor has Briggs Model N, type 306277, S/N 1466463 built in late 1951. I can not find any info on the web about it. Was looking for some help.

Answers:

My Dad bought a "Waterbury" back in the mid-fifties when I was a kid. A wonderful little machine that we used for mowing grass (sickle bar mower), cultivating the garden and plowing snow. Alas, the tractor is long gone; however, I widened the blade by about a foot and adapted it to my Ford LGT 125. I do have the original "Operating Instructions and Repair Parts List" I don't think there were a lot of these built as I rarely see them mentioned on any of the Garden Tractor sites.
