Topic: Lickety Log Splitter

A friend gave me an old log splitter. It is yellow and red and says Lickety Log Splitter on the side of the beam. It also says Piqua Engineering, Piqua, OH. Does anyone know where I can get parts for this piece of equipment?

The blower cover was missing from the motor so I don't know a manufacturer or model #. Does anyone know what engine was used by this company? The engine has a cast iron block and what looks like a Kohler carb.

Note from Yetman's
The only reference we were ever able to find for Lickety Splitter was Alpine Power Equipment in California. They don't mention the brand on their site any longer but they are the best likely source of info. You can reach them through their site at Alpine Power Equipment

More from Jim Duren...
I have since found, with a little help, more infor on the lickity splitter. websfarmsupply.com in calif has copy of owners/service manual that was last printed in 1984 and they have quite a few parts available and a wealth of info on the splitter.
